Feb Intake Campus » City Description » The Certificate III in Tourism (Visitor Information Services) and Certificate III in Tourism (Guiding) provide students with comprehensive skills and knowledge to obtain employment in frontline positions at visitor information centers, attractions and in the general tour guiding industry. These courses are designed for people seeking operational roles in the tourism industry. Certificate III in Tourism (Visitor Information Services) and Certificate III in Tourism (Guiding) major areas of study include tourism industry knowledge, financial information, financial transactions, office procedures, business technology, first aid, working as a guide and leading tour groups. The course prepares graduates for employment in the broad tourism industry in a variety of positions. These include working as an information officer, booking agent, adventure tour guide, ticketing officer, site guide, city/local guide, driver guide and interpretation coordinator. The two courses are delivered concurrently, however students may elect to study one.
