Music - Technical Production (Certificate III to Certificate IV)This music course offers students the skills to pursue a career in the contemporary music industry and is very suitable for students wishing to record, mix and edit sound sources. It provides extensive training in contemporary music technology used for creating music and technical production.
Qualifications Available in this Program (depending on your entry & exit points)
General Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites Entry into the Certificate IV requires the equivalent of Australian Year 10 with passes in English. Applicants without this can begin at the Certificate III level.. Special Entry Requirements Entry requires a personal resume to be supplied and an informal interview (by phone or email) with the College. A form will be sent to all applicants to complete and the College will contact the student directly to arrange this. Career Outcomes Depending on the stage of completion, graduates can find employment as sound technicians and studio engineers in the music industry. Music venues often provide more initial job prospects than studios, with the majority of studio engineers having had venue production and technical production experience.
