About Us

A course at Mayfair is more than just English language study it is an international, based on many ethnic and religious traditions experience that we wish you will never forget. The fulltime courses enable you to learn English for three hours per day and then explore London with our social programme. Outside of class free social programme will keep you busy with trips to all of London’s most interesting attractions. Our free Pronunciation, Conversation and Cinema clubs will also support you practise the English you learn in class.

Mayfair School of English

Mayfair School of English was established in 1986 and is an English language school in the heart of London. They earned accreditation from the British Council and the school is a member of English UK.

Location

The school is in the heart of London’s most famous shopping street, the Oxford Street building has 11 fully-equipped, spacious, modern classrooms and a computer room with free broadband internet access. We also have a coffee bar for our students to relax in and a reading room for quiet self-study before and after class.
The school is surrounded by a variety of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants and is near to the lively and vibrant Soho with some of the best entertainment in town as well as many of London’s most famous tourist attractions, the British Museum, the London Eye and Leicester Square are just a short walk from the school.

Accommodation

Mayfair School can organise accommodation for you or you can make your own arrangements for private accommodation. They offer several options to choose between Private Home, Student Residence, Hotel or Hostel.
Private Homes are of a good standard and are located outside the centre of London. You stay in a friendly London home and choose the meal plan that suits you but you are still independent and you are not expected to take part in family life. The travel time to Mayfair School is between 45 and 60 minutes on public transport. If you would like to be a little more independent but still have opportunities to practise your English then the Student Residence may be the best option for you. The student residence provides you with a basic single room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. The residence allows you to socialise with other students and keep your independence. The residence is located in Forest Gate, only 40 minutes from the school by public transport (Zone 3) and has excellent transport connections to the school. Hotels and hostels also can be arranged by the school
