Master of Management (International Business)DURATION: 1.5 years full time The Master of Management (International Business) gives you the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge required to work in a multi-national or global organisation. International management investigates issues involved in managing business operations across borders. It examines how multinational enterprises achieve and sustain competitive advantages in an interdependent global economy. International management draws on business strategy, other functional areas of management and contextual studies of particular regions and countries. As a Master of Management (International Business) graduate, you can look to operate in the international business sphere or direct your career into positions such as an international marketing executive, international finance executive, business analyst, manager in international business or international public relations executive. This program is relevant if you are planning a career with parent companies having foreign subsidiaries, export-oriented firms or public sector bodies involved in cross-border commercial issues. Within this program you will study six core courses in the areas of economics, international finance, human resources management, business law, people work and organisations and global marketing in an international context. Courses within this program cover content including concepts such as those encountered in foreign exchange markets, international parity pricing, foreign exchange rate determination, foreign exposure, cost of capital, financial structures, capital flows, international taxes, acquisitions and mergers, portfolio management, working capital management and international trade finance. Also covered are distinguishing features of international business transactions as opposed to domestic transactions, and techniques and strategies needed to incorporate the marketing concepts into the framework of work markets.
