The Master of Information Technology programme is designed to provide advanced theoretical and practical concepts by coursework. There is an in-depth approach to project management skills, programming and software engineering. It provides professional level studies which will meet the Australian Computer Society assessment criteria.
The objectives of this course are that the students should be able to:
-Demonstrate familiarity with the theoretical basis of Information Technology
-Develop appropriate project management principles and technique
-Develop programming skills required to architect and implement complex computer systems
-Analyse, design and implement software systems, including functional, relational and object-oriented methodologies
-Enhance their skills in explaining and communicating, in written and oral form, their own work and the works of others
-Become familiar with the latest developments in IT
-Show an awareness of the ehtical and social implications of their area of interest

Entry requirements:
Students may be admitted on completion of a minimum three-year bachelor degree, in any discipline. No advanced standing, credit transfer or exemption will be granted on the basis of any overseas qualification (for other qualifications, up to 8 units).
