Master of Information Technology Management (MITM)

About the Course
This course provides in-depth study in theoretical, design and implementation aspects of managing information for IT graduates. Practicing IT professionals know that career advancement often depends on up-to-date management skills and the appropriate qualifications. This Masters degree is intended to complement and facilitate the career path of those who wish to pursue professional careers in the management of Information Technology and associated resources.

Graduates will develop an applied understanding of the theoretical and technical concepts of Information Technology, with relevant connections to industry and the Australian Computer Society. Graduates will bring sound professional standards and ethics to the work environment, together with the ability to work effectively by conceptualising imaginative and innovative responses to emerging challenges associated with the development and operation of Information Technology in an inter-cultural, global and Internet-enabled environment.

Course Structure
The course consists of six Information Technology Management units and two elective units. This course can be taken externally by distance learning.

A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 80 credit points.

Professional Recognition

Graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Computer Society.
