Master of Information Technology (Honours)
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The aim of the program is to prepare graduates for a research career in the IT industry or the pursuit of higher research degree qualifications including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
The program is 12 subjects (120 credit points) in total and will take 3-4 full time semesters, or up to two years part time to complete.
Admission to this program is restricted to outstanding graduates of a Bachelor or Masters of Information Technology program or equivalent. Students enrolled in the MIT program who have demonstrated the required academic ability may be invited to transfer to this program.
PROFESSIONAL Outcomes
The Master of Information Technology (Honours) will provide students with the analytical skills for research careers in the information technology industry or entry into PhD studies.
Attendance
Most students undertake four subjects per semester* (equivalent to 40 credit points). You may, however, enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a longer period.
