Master of Health Science

About the course
The Master of Health Science aims to promote advanced, critical reflection on professional practice in the health sciences. This aim has the following components:

 

to provide opportunity for the candidate to continue lifelong learning in keeping with the University’s mission statement
to satisfy the educational needs of professionals working in or aspiring to work in the most senior tiers of the health sciences and related sectors
to promote the acquisition of advanced analytical and problem solving skills and conceptual insights that will enhance the capacity of the candidate to undertake positions of significant responsibility in the health sciences, and
to encourage excellence in scholarship and/or focused research within the candidate’s discipline area.

Credit
Many students will be given credit for up to 32 points if they have previously completed a four-year undergraduate course in an apposite discipline, or have undertaken relevant postgraduate tertiary studies subsequent to a three-year undergraduate degree.

 

 

Graduates of the CSU Graduate Certificate/Postgraduate Certificates/Graduate Diplomas listed under admission requirements will receive 32 points credit on entry to the Master course. Up to 64 points credit may be granted to students who have completed a four-year degree and postgraduate study.

 

No credit will be granted for the 32 point research component.
