Minimum duration: 1 year full-time or equivalent part-time.
Prerequisites
- Four year Bachelor degree in Education; or
- three year Bachelor degree in an area other than Education and a Graduate Diploma in Education; or
- either a 4 year Bachelor degree or three year Bachelor degree with a Graduate Certificate; plus
- either a Graduate Certificate in English or Linguistics or demonstrated proficiency in English language (including as a native English speaker).
The major aim of this course is to facilitate the development of effective teachers of English in a variety of settings when English is an additional language for their students. The course will encourage participants to become skilled, reflective, culturally aware, and responsive individuals committed to their continuing professional and ethical development. Participants will analyse English language education in a global context and will develop knowledge and skills to meet the associated challenges.
English Language Requirements
Applicants require IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall score of 6.5, including an individual score of 6.0 for all tests.
