Outline 

The Master of Business Administration (International Management)
The course will provide students with theoretical and practical concepts of management. The MBA’s general orientation prepares students for roles in general management and in addition provides a choice of specialised functions. The emphasis is on developing a sound working knowledge of core disciplines and the analytical skills necessary to understand and direct the work of other functional and operational specialists.

The main aim is to produce an impressive group of individuals who demonstrate a commitment to lead effectively, to exercise their strong interpersonal skills and to continually develop their managerial potential.

The MBA offered by the School of Business targets applicants seeking the intrinsic reward of knowing their work makes a difference to the well being of their organisation and its stakeholders.

RPL and Credit Transfer

Objectives 

Objectives address student learning needs related to lifelong learning capabilities (Candy, Crebert & O’Leary, 1994), generic capabilities and specific management capabilities.

In addition to providing economically competitive, market attractive and educationally robust management education, the course is designed to enable students to:

-Develop as high potential individuals capable of serving the advanced management needs of local, national and global enterprises.
-Develop knowledge and competencies for operational and strategic perspectives.
-Acquire a sound working knowledge of the core disciplines of business supplemented by an in-depth study of an advanced international specialisation.
-Develop the conceptual frameworks and skills of critical analysis applicable to entrepreneurial operations in a global economy.
-Add to the momentum of a business career, rather than be a competitor to it, through offering a range of flexible delivery methods.

Requirements 

The Master of Business (International Management) - MBA(IM) - consists of 16 units of 15 credit points each, or in the case of the Applied Research Project, 14 units of 15 credit points and one unit of 30 credit points. The MBA(IM) totals 240 credit points. One credit point represents 10 student learning hours. It is normally taken over 2 years full time or part time equivalent.
It consists of 6 core units, 1 capstone unit, 1 international managment unit, the remaining elective units.

• 3 remaining electives units selected from graduate program offered
