About Us

This University is put on a 49 hectare campus at Robina on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Made in the practice of the world’s leading private universities, a series of grand sandstone faculty buildings line a landscaped promenade leading down to the quiet man-made lake. Lecture theatres, case study rooms and tutorial rooms are comfortably located in the University Centre building; several student restaurants, cafes and bars circle the lake; and on-campus accommodation is within easy walking distance of all university faculties. The study facilities here are world-class, incorporating high-tech lecture theatres, the latest broadband and wifi computer connections, and libraries that are ranked among Australia’s best. Complementing these academic parts of the face, you’ll find a comprehensive choice of recreational and social outlets that encourage interaction between students outside the schoolroom.

Master of Accounting

DESCRIPTION

The Master of Accounting is designed to provide an opportunity for students with undergraduate training in other fields to gain a professional accounting qualification.  The degree may be commenced in either the January, May or September semesters and requires the equivalent of 12 full unit subjects to be completed in a minimum of four semesters of study.  The course offers both a firm academic grounding and a 'hands on' understanding of the industry, and is accredited by the CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the National Institute of Accountants.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Admission is based on an assessment of work experience, prior academic record and motivation.  Applications must have complete an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline other than accounting, or hold a non-degree professional accounting qualification with at least five years' work experience. Applicants without a recognised prior qualification will be required to undertake a further four full-units of coursework.  The additional four units constitute a Graduate Certificate in Business.

Work Experience & Internships

Students can apply to undertake an internship as part of their degree.

This intensely practical professional development approach fosters graduates who are ready, willing and able to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in the workplace.

Graduate Outcomes

Master of Accounting graduates are eligible for employment in professional accounting practices (Public Accounting or Chartered Accountants), Corporation, the public sectors and not-for-profit organisations.

Attendance

Most students undertake four subjects per semester* (equivalent to 40 credit points). You may, however, enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a longer period.

Bond's Teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.
