About Us

Lloyds International College was founded by Kofi Ameyaw Osei and his wife Liba Osei in July 1999, as private College offering courses mainly to International students. The College has always been at 307 Pitt Street, Sydney, being centrally located in a very accessible location near Town Hall Station. Initially it started on Level 5 as an ELICOS College, offering General English and IELTS courses, but then expanded into VET courses in Business and Information Technology. The College also expanded to included Level 1 of 307 Pitt Street.

Lloyds International College

Welcome to Lloyds International College, an enrolled Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia.
The College is famous for the high quality of its English courses, and in particular for the preparation it presents for IELTS examinations (International English Language Testing Service) IELTS qualifications are essential for entry to many advanced courses in Australia, involving university and TAFE. It is also treated as a test for the language component for enduring residence.


Courses

General English & IELTS:

Morning and Day Time classes - 9.00am-3:00pm/2.00pm-7:30pm - 12 weeks

Each course aims to improve overseas students' general English level. Once the course has ended, students are usually ready to enter the next class. The General English classes also form a basis for students to move on to more specialized areas such as IELTS preparation.
Certificate: on leaving the College, students receive Certificates stating attendance and the level of English they have achieved.

Location

Situated in the middel of Sydney, the host city for the 2000 Olympic Games, Lloyds International College is in the centre of the business and tourism region. Major attractions such as Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour are just a short walk away. Parks, cafes, shopping centres, major libraries, sporting facilities and beaches surround us.

Accommodation

Accommodation options for students studying at The Education Group:
OPTION 1. Homestay (living with Australian Family) – MINIMUM STAY – 4 weeks
Includes: Breakfast and dinner during workdays; and Breakfast, lunch and dinner during weekend.
Our Homestay services provide an opportunity to stay with an Australian family and experience the Australian culture and lifestyle. If student need a homestay, we ask them to fill out the form and pass it onto the organizer to find a family. We need at least 4 weeks before the arrival date to arrange it.
PRICES: Single Room $240/week
Twin Share Room: $220/week
OPTION 2. Student House - MINIMUM STAY – 2 weeks
Located only 10 minutes from college, in Balmain area
Facilities: free foxtel, barbeque, DVD player, garden, table tennis etc. We need at least 2 weeks before the arrival date to arrange accommodation in the student house.
Prices: $180—twin share, includes breakfast
$160—triple share, includes breakfast
