LSI has an extensive network of schools located around the world . You can learn English in one of our schools in England, Canada, the USA, Malta, New Zealand or Australia. We also have language centres in France, Germany and Switzerland. LSI also works with partner language schools in Spain, Italy, Russia, Mexico and Costa Rica. Since 1965, we have taught thousands of students from all parts of the world. Our teachers and staff members are trained to the highest possible standards. Language School International Vancouver

General Language Courses

Standard 20

If you want to combine your language studies with other activities, the Standard 20 Course is the ideal programme for you. During the lessons you will learn communication skills in a variety of everyday situations.

Intensive 30

  • 1-50 weeks - 30 Lessons per week
  • Beginner to advanced levels
the LSI Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well rounded insight into the language and country.

Modular English for Business Courses

  • 30 lessons a week
  • Intermediate to Advanced Level
This is why we have developed a special modular course carefully designed to improve your business communication skills. In the mornings you will study on our LSI 30 Course. In the afternoons you will study business modules, covering topics such as Banking and Stock Markets, Marketing and Advertising, Recruitment, Sales and Negotiating.

International School Year Programme (ISY)

  • 20 or 30 lessons per week - 24-48 weeks
  • Beginner to upper intermediate levels
The LSI International School Year programme is an excellent opportunity to learn a new language, immerse yourself in a new culture and make friends from all over the world. We design an individual course plan for you, based on your needs, current language level and the duration of your course. In most centres it will be possible to study examination courses and every ISY student receives regular academic counselling, and help with study skills and university placement.

University Foundation Programme

  • 30 group lessons per week / 12-36 weeks
  • Two individual classes per week
  • Intermediate level or above
  • Fast track applications to universities
This programme has been specially designed for students who wish to study at an English speaking university. Alongside the group lessons aimed at developing academic English, the course allows for individual lessons which will target each students specific language needs.

Study & Work Programmes

An excellent opportunity to practise and develop your language skills in a business environment and gain valuable work experience. The programme combines an LSI course to develop your communication skills and attain a high enough level in the language and a period of work placement.

Exam Preparation Courses

LSI 30 Cambridge Examination Courses (30 lessons per week)

The Cambridge Examinations in English are recognised and highly regarded by English speaking universities and companies. At LSI we offer tailored courses to prepare for these examinations.

  • First Certificate in English (FCE)
  • Certificate of Advanced (CAE)
  • Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
  • Business English Certificate (BEC)

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Preparation

TOEFL is required by non-native speakers of English for admission to universities in the USA and Canada. Preparation for this test at LSI is an afternoon option on the LSI Intensive 30 course.

TOEIC (Test of English in International Communication) Preparation

This test is accepted by thousands of companies as evidence of proficiency in English in a business situation. Preparation for this exam is an afternoon option on the LSI Intensive 30. Vancouver is an Official TOEIC testing center.

Location

LSI Vancouver is ideally located in the heart of the downtown district. The city's main attractions, such as shopping malls, galleries and theatres, are within easy walking distance, as are bus, Seabus and Skytrain services.
The school is on the first floor of a modern office tower, offers comfortable classrooms, a computer lab with Internet access, a wide variety of self-study materials.

Accommodation

The school offer single and double room accommodation in home-stay or residence hall arrangements.
