The Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques provides students with basic theoretical training and technical skills for employment at a technical assistant level.
The Diploma of Laboratory Technology (Biological and Environmental Testing) provides students with the laboratory skills and knowledge required for a specialised career in either biological or environmental laboratories in a wide range of fields.

Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is the first year of the two Diploma programs.

These programs provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to engage in a diverse range of employment opportunities. These include working in the field of modern science in areas including government research laboratories, industry control laboratories, hospitals, pathology and medical laboratories and education technical support areas.
