IELTS

These courses are academic-based English Language courses for non-native or English-as-a-second-language learners, and are taught by highly qualified teachers and examiners. The course will primarily focus on the 4 major areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing , all of which will help to improve overall language proficiency. Students entering this course should have at least a pre-intermediate level of English in order to cope with the course content. Part-time and once-a-week elective options are also available.

The course provides excellent opportunities for students wishing to:

• Enter an Australian tertiary institution

• Apply for permanent residence in Australia or overseas

• Improve English language proficiency to a high standard of learning

• Enhance career opportunities

- Students will receive ongoing assessments during their course in the form of both oral and written work.

- On completion of the course students will receive a Certificate of Completion from the college, this Certificate will also state the student's equivalent IELTS band gauged from the final mock exam.

- Students can receive a nationally recognised qualification meeting all requirements

IELTS Schedule

*Students may choose to study in 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 week blocks depending on their English level and English requirements.

- Part-time Evening Class Schedule: 5:30 – 8:30pm ( Mon, Tues and Thurs).

-IELTS Full Time/ IELTS Evening Classes : 07/01/08(and then every 4 weeks)

Please note exam fee is subject to increase in 2008 by IELTS Centre

-DIRECT REGISTRATION (If registering directly for IELTS examination in person)

-REGISTRATION THROUGH THE COLLEGE: Your exam fee will include assistance with completing your application form, your application form and fee delivered to The IELTS Exam Centre, plus postage costs.
