Specific Award Rules 1 Requirements for this Award a. To be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Resort Management, a candidate shall complete twenty-four (24) units comprising:
2 Advanced Standing a. Candidates who have successfully completed the requirements of the Associate Degree of Business in Hotel and Resort Management at this University, may be granted advanced standing for up to sixteen (16) units towards the Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Resort Management b. The School Board may grant advanced standing of up to sixteen (16) units, provided that: 1. a maximum of four (4) units are counted towards Intern Study; and 2. a maximum of twelve (12) units are counted towards units other than Intern Study. c. Advanced Standing of up to eight (8) units may be granted to candidates who have completed another undergraduate award of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. In addition, a candidate may apply to the Head of School to substitute other units for those previously completed. Unit substitution does not reduce the number of units required to complete the course. Advanced Standing in excess of eight (8) units may be granted by the Head of School in exceptional circumstances.
