Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution

About the course
Students will gain an understanding of the causes of conflict and the availability and suitability of various methods of dispute prevention and resolution and their differing results and learn the principles and skills of mediation and conflict management and be able to apply these skills in public and private disputes.

 

The Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution is designed for people engaged in a wide range of business professions, public service, human services and voluntary occupations who desire a knowledge of theories of conflict and methods of conflict resolution.

 

The knowledge of the theory, methods and skills of dispute resolution, together with the processes of negotiation and mediation, will equip students to resolve disputes in a broad range of commercial and non-commercial careers and occupations.

 

Credit
Students may apply for credit towards Charles Sturt University’s MBA, Master of Human Resource Management or the Master of Business.

 

Residential school
There is a compulsory three-day residential school for LAW517.

 

Graduation requirements
Students must satisfactorily complete 32 points (four subjects).
