Kelly Colleges has been providing English Language Courses & Business Courses through its Queen Street Mall premises in Brisbane, Australia since 1975. This well-respected and popular college offers unique and diverse training courses for both local and international students.General English
This course is recommended for students who want to improve their conversational ability, pronunciation and listening skills for daily life. At Kelly English College we understand that the main difficulty for learners of English is speaking and listening so this is why class-sizes are small. Students are expected to speak as much as possible in order to utilize class time to improve their communication abilities. The majority of the reading and writing components are completed by students in the form of take-home assignments.
Once weekly students benefit from one-on-one individual feedback sessions with their instructors. During this time students have the opportunity to ask questions, get advice and clarify material that has been covered in class. Instructors also use this opportunity to give feedback to the students regarding their progress.
There are five levels of General English, each 12 weeks in duration:
1. Beginner 2. Pre-Intermediate 3. Intermediate 4. Upper-Intermediate 5.Advanced
Students must satisfy the requirements of each course before they are able to proceed to the next level; this is evaluated through weekly oral and written level tests.
