General English

The course is designed for students who want to enhance their English language skills before attempting further study in Australia, or for students who want to develop their English to achieve their personal goals. The General English program is a 5 level program offered at Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels.
The course is based on the popular Cutting Edge series of course books with supplementary tasks and materials that are designed to meet the student’s needs.
Every Friday, Lloyds International College provides extra free option classes for its students. The options offer classes in Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Grammar, Conversation and IELTS Trial Exams.

Duration: 4-48 weeks (depending on level)

Entry Requirements:

Beginner for Elementary level
Elementary for Pre Intermediate level
Pre Intermediate for Intermediate level
Intermediate for Upper intermediate level
Upper intermediate for Advanced level

Teaching methods:
Face to face delivery. Students will develop their English language skills through a range of tasks designed to develop their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as improving their pronunciation and knowledge of grammar.

Assessment methods:
Students are assessed throughout the week, but there is one monthly assessment which is compulsory.

Completion:
Students receive a statement of attainment upon successful completion of the course.
