About Us

The world in which we live is changing rapidly. Globalisation, characterised by increased mobility of people, technology, money, ideas and knowledge is your future world. John Paul College has been preparing students for their place in the world for 25 years and in 1997 opened John Paul International College to better prepare students for their studies in Australia. Choosing the right pathway from school to university is an important decision as it will shape your future career.

English Language Preparation Program (ELPP)

The English Language Preparation Program is for those students who have not yet reached the entry requirements for the JPIC Foundation program.

JPIC language preparation courses are taught by highly qualified ESL experts. Classes are held for 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Throughout the course students will be developing proficiency in English language skills with an academic focus, in preparation for entry to the JPIC Foundation Program.

Students will be placed in classes according to test results on arrival. To progress to the next class, students must pass an exit test at their current level. Students are assessed throughout each ten week course in each of the macro skills—listening, speaking, reading and writing. Progression to the Foundation program is dependent upon successful completion of the English course.
