English for Academic Purposes

This is an intensive academic English program which will give you the skills needed for entry into further study at a Diploma or Bachelor level.

This course emphasises raising your language skills from conversational to academic. It will introduce you to fundamental skills that are required for research at a higher education level such as; collection of information from a variety of sources, documentation of research, critical analysis, report writing, discussion and oral presentation.

The course includes two self directed academic projects, as well as skills based classes that focus on academic reading and writing, listening and note  –taking skills, research skills, study skills and exam preparation.

  – Listening and note  –taking skills
  – Study skills and exam preparation
  – Speaking, oral presentation and seminar discussion skills
Mode Of Study: Full Time 
Part Time 

Duration: 10 weeks in full time mode.
Entry Requirements: You must have achieved an Upper Intermediate level of English in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Your English level will be assessed upon arrival.
Accreditation This course is accredited by the National English Language Teaching Accreditation Scheme (NEAS).
