Diploma of Tourism (Marketing and Product Development)

  • Duration: 1.5 Years
  • Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.

  • Entry Requirements: Satisfactory completion of Year 11 or overseas equivalent English proficiency demonstrated by an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent

    Module based assessment used such as tests, practicals.
  • Expected Employment Outcome Example: TAFE SA certificate qualifications in this area provide opportunities to work as a travel consultant; visitor information officer; airline customer sales consultant; tour wholesaler; conference coordinator; tour coordinator; or tour guide. Diploma courses provide graduates with management level skills which offer opportunities in marketing and product development, and tourism and general operations.
  • Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
