Competency based training methodology for all units within Trainin Packages.
- Expected Employment Outcome Example: There is a strong growth in sport, fitness, community and outdoor recreation activities, and increased public awareness of health and fitness issues. Courses in this area will train you for employment in sport and recreation venues (e.g. leisure centres), health and fitness centres, and outdoor recreation businesses as development officers; sport and recreation program leaders; coaches; personal trainers; fitness instructors; sport and recreation supervisors and managers; adventure tour guides and outdoor recreation assistants and leaders.
- Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
- Skills Covered:
Theoretical and practical application of coaching and officiating general principles and sport specific information; human resource management; maintaining and evaluating OH&S systems; managing and co-ordinating projects and events; managing risk and environmental performance; use advanced computer applications; leisure; finance and budgeting; marketing; meeting processes, and promoting compliance with laws and legal principles.
