Competency based training methodology for all units within Trainin Packages.
- Expected Employment Outcome Example: There is a strong growth in sport, fitness, community and outdoor recreation activities, and increased public awareness of health and fitness issues. Courses in this area will train you for employment in sport and recreation venues (e.g. leisure centres), health and fitness centres, and outdoor recreation businesses as development officers; sport and recreation program leaders; coaches; personal trainers; fitness instructors; sport and recreation supervisors and managers; adventure tour guides and outdoor recreation assistants and leaders.
- Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Abseiling; bushwalking; rock climbing; conducting interpretation within an outdooor activity; coordinating facilities; designing and facilitating adventure-based learning programs; equipment acquisition and maintenance; ethics; interpreting weather conditions in the field; kayaking; managing projects and risk management; natural resource management; navigating in remote or trackless areas in extreme environmental conditions; occupational health and safety fundamentals; promoting compliance with laws and legal principles; providing leadership in the workplace; search and rescue; snow touring and scuba diving.
