Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 nursing)

  • Duration: 1.5 Years
  • Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.
  • Course Type: Training Package Qualification
  • Entry Requirements: English proficiency demonstrated by an IELTS score of 5.5 is essential. Ability to meet the physical demands of nursing work, particularly the requirements of manual handling.

  • Assessment Method: Units
    Competency based training methodology for all units within Trainin Packages.
  • Expected Employment Outcome Example:
    These courses prepare graduates for working in the health industry in roles as diverse as patient care assistants; dental hygienists; dental technicians; dental clinic assistants; ancillary or support workers; enrolled nurses; allied health assistants (therapy assistants); and health technicians.

    Acute and chronic health disorders; anatomy and physiology; clinical nursing and medication management; communications; compulsory "clinical placements"; contemporary nursing practice; law and ethics; and workplace safety.
