Diploma of Information Technology (Website Development)

  • Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.

  • Entry Requirements All applicants must meet the minimum education entry as well as having an IELTS score of 5.5 General or Academic.

  • Expected Employment Outcome Example: Certificate courses in this area equip graduates with knowledge of hardware equipment, software applications used in offices and provide practical business oriented skills. Diploma courses provide in depth training in a wide variety of choices including website development; maintenance and management; design, establishment and management of complex networks; systems administration and analysis; and design and development of applications programs.     Skills to effectively design and develop web based Information Technology systems including validating quality and completeness of system design specifications; managing project quality; preparing disaster recovery and contingency plans; designing dynamic websites to meet technical requirements; developing website information architecture; gathering data to identify business requirements; translating business needs into technical requirements; creating dynamic web pages; integrating a database with a website; matching the IT needs with the strategic direction of the enterprises; establishing and maintaining client user liaison; ensuring privacy for users; performing systems tests; developing and conducting client acceptance tests; using site server tools for transaction management; managing projects; plus specialised technical skills.
