Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development)

- Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.

- Entry Requirements: All applicants must meet the minimum education entry as well as having an IELTS score of 5.5 General or Academic.

Module based assessment used such as tests, practicals.
- Expected Employment Outcome Example: Certificate courses in this area equip graduates with knowledge of hardware equipment, software applications used in offices and provide practical business oriented skills. Diploma courses provide in depth training in a wide variety of choices including website development; maintenance and management; design, establishment and management of complex networks; systems administration and analysis; and design and development of applications programs. - Skills Covered:
Developing and maintaining software using languages such as Java, J2EE, C++, C, VB.net and Visual Basic; costing and quality; database programming with SQL; developing configuration management and test plans; managing project integration; preparing disaster recovery plans; and managing scope and object-oriented analysis. A number of other specialised technical skills are taught.
