Duration 2 Years Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction. Course Type Training Package Qualification Entry Requirements IELTS score of 5.5 is essential.
This qualification will prepare you for gaining an apprenticeship in the Hair and Beauty field.

Skills Covered Likely functions in the hairdressing industry for those who achieve this qualification may involve managing a salon and employing staff. Duties may include working as part of a salon team and coordinating salon team/s. Functions at this level include the self-directed application of a broad range of knowledge and skills, and the provision of leadership and support to colleagues through the development and management of human resource development initiatives. The salon manager at this level may focus on building the business, leading and developing the team, developing and implementing marketing activities, and ensuring all occupational health and safety requirements are maintained.

Course Notes 1. This course incorporates the Certificate III in Hairdressing and the Certificate IV in Hairdressing. This qualification enhances hairdressing knowledge and career options. The additional skills will add greater scope to career options such as: hair and make up for film and television; hair and make up for photo shoots; hair and make up for the bridal market; jobs in print media; jobs on cruise ships; technician for a product company or a teacher of hair and make-up. This qualification equips students with the skills of a Hairdresser as identified on the Skilled Occupation List. This occupation currently appears on the Migration Occupations in Demand List.
