Diploma of Food and Wine Management and Operations

  • Duration: 2 Years
  • Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.

    Entry Requirements: IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent, Year 12 or equivalent

    Competency based training methodology for all units within Trainin Packages.
  • Expected Employment Outcome Example: These courses will prepare graduates for work in the wine industry. Depending on the specialisation area/s chosen, graduates will: develop the skills and knowledge to manage the cultivation and development of vines; work as a vineyard owner/manager or be employed by a vineyard owner as a manager; develop skills, knowledge and experience in wine and regional food production, processing and evaluation, including evaluation of tourism opportunities.
  • Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
  • Skills Covered:
    Contributing to strategic direction; contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans; evaluating marketing opportunities; developing a marketing plan; developing a marketing communications plan; establishing effective workplace relationships; managing budgets and financial plans; managing workplace information systems; plus electives.
