Diploma of Engineering
This program equips students with the necessary skills to work in the areas of Civil, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering. If students wish to specialize their studies, they have the option to focus on; Applied Mechanics, Fluid Power, Production, Industrial Automation, Numerical Control and Quality Assurance. Career Opportunities: Foreman Factory Supervisor Mode Of Study: Full Time Duration: This program takes 12 months (52 weeks) to complete. Entry Requirements IELTS 5.5 (Academic) or equivalent. Minimum 18 years of age. Completion of year 12 or equivalent. Completion of MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering. Assessment Methods Emphasis is placed on combining off-the-job training with on-the-job applications. Assessment can be carried out in simulated work environment, on-the-job or in the workplace or by negotiated project work. Vocational Placement This program includes 30 days (240 hours) of unpaid vocational placement. This course is available packaged with MEM30305 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Heavy Fabrication). Recognition of Prior Learning Careers Australia gives students the recognition they deserve, for skills and knowledge that they already possess. Please contact Careers Australia for more information. Accreditation This program is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). Articulation This program can provide graduates with up to one year’s credit towards a Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field at an Australian university.
