The Diploma of Accounting is a course that equips students with the practical skills required in the Financial Services Industry. The skills and knowledge included in the Diploma of Accounting qualification are designed for people typically employed as Assistant Accountants, Office Managers, Administration Manager and Budget Officers.

The Diploma of Accounting offered at Zenith Business Academy introduces students to the Financial Services sector and encourages them to engage with the accounting industry. Practical classroom sessions use real life workplace simulations, scenarios and case studies and Zeniths qualified trainers all base their training on recent industry experience.

The Diploma of Accounting offers students the chance to develop their networking and professional development skills with helpful hints on applying for jobs, interviews, networking, professional development opportunities and connections with industry leaders to ensure positive future development for all students.

Entry Requirements/Prerequisites:
International students must have completed HSC or equivalent and a minimum English level of IELTS 5.5 with no individual band less than 5 or equivalent.

Zenith Business Academy does not accept International Students less than 18 years old.

Prepare and bank receipts
Process journal entries
Maintain financial records
Prepare financial reports
Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
Prepare income tax returns

Make a decision within a legal context
Provide financial and business performance Information
Manage budgets and forecasts
Prepare financial reports for a reporting entity
Implement and maintain internal control procedures
Provide management accounting information
Conduct  market research

Study Pathways :
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Accounting students will be awarded with the Diploma of Accounting. Students may exit at this stage or may continue their study with the Advanced Diploma of Accounting just an additional six months study. Students may be eligible for course credits with Victoria University’s towards their Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or with another quality university on a similar based course. This would not only reduce the amount of time needed to study but will provide students with a firm foundation in the field.

Employment Pathways:
Subject to compliance with visa conditions students may be eligible to work within the Financial Services industry in a position such as Assistant Accountants, Office Managers, Administration Managers and Budget Officers in their own country of origin or, for Australian citizens, in Australia.
