Cultural Event Management

About the course
This articulated set is for people who contribute to the management of special events, focusing on social communication issues that are central to the successful coordination of such events.

There has been a rapid proliferation of local community special events, regional festivals, and national civic and sporting programs in the cultural life of Australians.

These cultural developments have increased the need for public and private institutions to employ individuals who can competently design, implement, and evaluate special event programs. These courses are designed for people who contribute to the strategic, logistical and operational planning and management of these events.

The Graduate Certificate course provides a valuable introduction to the role of communication theory and practice in the development of the civic or commercial cultural events. You can tailor subjects and your assignments to address your workplace issues, programs and special events. People teaching communications-related programs also find this course stimulating and beneficial.

The Graduate Certificate in Cultural Event Management articulates with the Graduate Diploma of Cultural Event Management and credit is awarded in the higher degree for subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate.
