The Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering provides students with advanced skills and knowledge in the design, installation and maintenance of local and wide area networks, client-server software, network administration, industrial control and computer hardware.
Graduates may also achieve vendor accreditations that are highly regarded in the networking/information technology industry, some of which are major internationally recognised credentials.

Major areas of study include:

- PC hardware installation and configuration

- Operating systems – Windows, Linux and Unix

- Computer Networking – LANs and WANs

- Enterprise Network Design and Infrastructure – Cisco and Microsoft

- Programming – JAVA, HTML, Windows Scripting and Linux Shell Scripts

- Project Management, technical leadership, quality management and interpersonal and customer communications

- Basic electronics and digital systems

This course includes extensive practical laboratory exercises, design, construction and project commissioning.

Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering graduates can look forward to careers in network administration and technical support.
