Commerce - Fast-track to 2nd Yr University (Diploma)The Diploma of Commerce is a one year course that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be accepted directly into the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce degree at Curtin University and Murdoch University in Perth. It is an extremely popular program for students wishing to fast-track their business studies as they save money, gain two qualifications (a Diploma and Degree), and are exposed to practical training (at TAFE) as well as the theoretical training (at university).

General Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites Entry into this course requires the equivalent of Australian Year 12 with passes in English. What You'll Learn in this Course This Diploma course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be accepted into the second year of a bachelor degree course in the business studies area at various Universities. Students continuing into Curtin University or Murdoch University will receive 1 year of credit if enrolling into any major other than Accounting or 6 months credit if enrolling into an Accounting major. Career Outcomes Depending on the stage of completion, graduates have the opportunity to become a personal assistant, office manager or business administrator. Further Study & University Options Graduates of this course can enter a wide range of Bachelor of Commerce majors at either Murdoch or Curtin universities. At Curtin, students have a choice of up to 25 single majors and 68 double majors to choose from. Students who complete all requirements of this Diploma with an average overall grade of 65% or better will be able to directly enter the second year of the degree (except for Accounting in which they will get 6 months credit). At Murdoch, students will receive 1 year of credit when enrolling into the Bachelor of Commerce except when enrolling into the Professional Accounting major, where 6 months exemption will be granted.
