Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Duration: 1 year
- Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.
- Course Type: Training Package Qualification
- Entry Requirements: Australian Year 11, or overseas equivalent, and an English level of IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0) In the selection process previous commercial cookery experience is an advantage.

Module based assessment used such as tests, practicals.
- Expected Employment Outcome Example: Certificates gained in this area open a world of opportunities for cooks and kitchen hands, and offer the opportunity to work in diverse workplaces such as patisseries, cruise liners, restaurants, coffee shops, taverns, international hotels and outside catering. Graduates can expect to work with people from all over the world and see and experience a vast array of food, baking, patisserie and chocolate preparation techniques.

- Skills Covered:
Communications; following OH&S procedures; identifying and preparing meat; and planning and preparing food for buffets and a la carte.
