Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Heavy Fabrication, Boilermaker)
This program will equip students with the necessary skills to work as a Boilermaker. Boilermakers are responsible for fabricating objects from steel. This includes bending, shaping, forming and a large part of this trade involves welding. Career Opportunities: Boilermaker Mode Of Study: Full Time Duration: This program takes 12 months (52 weeks) to complete. Entry Requirements IELTS 5.5 (Academic) or equivalent. Minimum 18 years of age. Completion of year 12 or equivalent. Assessment Methods: Emphasis is placed on combining off-the-job training with on-the-job applications. Assessment can be carried out in simulated work environment, on-the-job or in the workplace or by negotiated project work. Vocational Placement This program includes 30 days (240 hours) of unpaid vocational placement. There is no guarantee of employment arising from this unpaid vocational placement. Recognition of Prior Learning Careers Australia gives students the recognition they deserve, for skills and knowledge that they already possess. Please contact Careers Australia for more information. Accreditation This program is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). Articulation Students can move on to study MEM50105 Diploma of Engineering.
