This qualification is part of the Beauty Training Package and provides the skills and knowledge needed to begin a career as a nail technician within the beauty industry.

Stage 1

Communicate in the workplace
Work effectively in a retail environment
Apply techniques to update beauty industry knowledge
Apply knowledge of nail science to nail services
Provide manicure and pedicare services
Conduct financial transactions

Stage 2

Sell products and services
Perform routine housekeeping duties
Provide service to clients
Apply gel nail enhancement
Apply acrylic nail enhancement
Merchandise products
 
Delivery and Assessment

The delivery and assessment of this course complies with the requirements of the Certificate II in Nail Technology WRB20104. Clients selecting this course will be required to undertake assessment of acquired skills in both the Institutional setting and Simulated working environment.
Modes of study

This course is delivered in a classroom and if applicable in practical based environment with practical requirements simulated to reflect the real work situation. The delivery of training will include a mixture of classroom theory, practical delivery, group discussions, and individual research.
