Building Design and Technology (Diploma of)Duration » 2 years. Feb intake The course focuses on the handling of residential and commercial building projects. Graduating students will have the ability to produce documentation suitable for obtaining building permits and on-site construction. Participants who exit at the completion of Year 1 may be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Residential Drafting. The broad range of careers available to graduates includes employment as drafters of domestic and commercial projects with architects, builders, building designers and/or project administrators. You may also involve working with allied professionals and consultants such as interior designers and landscape architects. After appropriate experience, graduates are eligible to apply for registration as building practitioners. These courses are based at the Gordon’s East Geelong Campus, Boundary Rd, East Geelong and are delivered by the School of Building and Construction. You will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Residential Drafting and the Diploma of Building Design and Technology on successful completion of all required competencies.
