Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 25 in English.
This course offers students the opportunity to pursue either an in-depth study in scripture, theology and philosophy or a broader based program in theology studies, within the Catholic tradition. Within this Catholic perspective, students will reflect critically on the meaning of Christian faith in an ecumenical and interfaith context.
In Theology at ACU National you will have the opportunity to learn about religion and how it influences the modern world, to read and appreciate scriptural and historical texts, consider the intellectual and academic basis of core faith teachings and engage in debate about contemporary ethical dilemmas.
Pathways to further study
An honours degree is available for high-achieving students.
Completion of the Bachelor of Theology pass degree or equivalent, normally within the last five years. The pass degree must have been completed at least a credit average and have included (a) a major comprising at least eight units in the discipline of the Honours course; (b) at least a credit average in the entire pass degree including at least four of the units in the major sequence of the discipline of the Honours course; and (c) satisfied prescribed prerequisites of the selected Honours degree.
