Overview Description: The course aims to produce graduates with a strong understanding of the processes and mechanisms underlying in human physical activity with a focus on the role of physical activity in the enhancement of health and well being within a rural/remote/tropical living perspective. Particular areas of interest include the role of exercise in the disease prevention and rehabilitation process and human performance in occupational, educational, sport, exercise and leisure settings. Duration: 3 years full-time or 6 years part-time * Mode: On campus (Internal), full or part time * Workload: Normal workload expectations are a minimum of 10 hours per week for every subject, including class contact hours, preparation and time spent on assessment tasks. Completion of this course allows for employment in community, and corporate health and fitness, government agencies associated with sport, physical activity and health, sports academies, professional sports, rehabilitation clinics and hospitals, private business in personal training and rehabilitation, and in universities and colleges with with involvement in teaching and research. Professional Accreditation Graduates are automatically eligible for full membership of the Australian Association for Exercise and Sport Science (AESS)
