In the first year of the course you can select subjects from any of the social science disciplines. The first year allows you to get good grounding in the social sciences and also helps you to decide the discipline areas where you would like to specialise.

In Years 2 and 3 you will take more subjects from the areas where you are majoring. You will also be required to take some research subjects which will provide you with the skills to become a social scientist.

Individual discipline areas provide an overview of the sequence of subjects required for each major.
