Bachelor of Social Science (Archaeology)

Overview

Description:
Archaeologists, through field work and the examination of artefacts, investigate histories - from the origins of early humans in Africa, to finding out about life on Pitcairn Island after the arrival of the mutineers on the HMS Bounty. North Queensland provides a rich and exciting location for studies in the archaeology of Australia and adjacent areas such as southeast Asia, New Guinea and the Pacific Islands. JCU archaeology students gain a wide range of skills and experience, with some emphasis on hands-on practical work.
