Structure

Journalism (48 credit points)


Students complete 48 credit points of Journalism and Arts and Social Science subjects as follows:

18 level 1 credit points;

12 level 2 credit points;

18 level 3 credit points.


Students must complete all of the core requirements of the Bachelor of Journalism.


Science (48 credit points)


Students complete 48 credit points of Science subjects as follows:

15 level 1 credit points;

15 level 2 credit points;

18 level 3 credit points.


All majors available in the Bachelor of Science are available to students in this joint degree. A major consists of an approved sequence of 27 credit points (9 subjects) in a discipline or cognate discipline, which must include 12 credit points from Science level 3 subjects, with all subjects being passed at a grade of Pass or higher.


The following structure is designed to assist students in selecting subjects for each year of the course.

18 credit points of Journalism and Arts and Social Sciences level 1 core subjects from the Schedule of Arts and Social Sciences Subjects

6 credit points of Science level 1 subjects from the Schedule of Science Subjects


YEAR 2

12 credit points of Journalism level 2 core subjects from the Schedule of Arts and Social Sciences Subjects

12 credit points from the Schedule of Science Subjects - 9 credit points of Science level 1 subjects and 3 credit points of Science level 2 subjects


YEAR 3

12 credit points of Journalism level 3 subjects from the Schedule of Arts and Social Sciences Subjects

12 credit points of Science level 2 subjects from the Schedule of Science Subjects


YEAR 4

6 credit points of Journalism level 3 subjects from the Schedule of Arts and Social Sciences Subjects

18 credit points of Science level 3 subjects from the Schedule of Science Subjects
