Recommended studies: 2 unit Mathematics. A chemistry support course is available.
Commonwealth-supported: Indicative first year full-time equivalent student contribution is $7256.
Fee-paying: Cost per unit is $1390 for Information Systems units and $1190 for Environmental Science units (full course - 24 units).
Deferment: Deferment is available for 12 months.
This course educates students to contribute to the monitoring and management of processes and activities that affect the environment. The course provides students with understanding and practical competence in the scientific, social, ethical and legal dimensions of the practice of environmental science.
The Bachelor of Environmental Science develops effective technological and communication skills to work collaboratively with employers, colleagues and the community.
Graduates are able to apply the relevant and current knowledge and skills they have gained to the practice of their profession with the highest ethical standards. Graduates are effective researchers and decision-makers with skills in critical thinking, problem solving and analysis.
Graduates and students enrolled in the course will be eligible for the appropriate category of membership of the Environment Institute of Australia. Graduates who undertake a Graduate Diploma in Education with teaching qualifications may be accredited to teach in Secondary science in NSW Schools.

Completion of the Bachelor of Environmental Science pass degree or equivalent, normally within the last five years. The pass degree must have been completed at least a credit average including at least four of the units in the major sequence of the discipline of the Honours degree.
