Bachelor of Engineering (Construction Management)Program summary Program overview This is a four-year program enabling graduates to apply for membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. You will develop excellent problem solving skills within a team-based environment. The program guides you towards practical, appropriate solutions to issues involving management of construction projects (such as design, structural integrity, human resource management, material selection, and environmental impacts). These graduate characteristics will enable you to apply for a wide variety of positions inside and outside the engineering profession, both in Australia and overseas. The program includes foundation studies in engineering and the sciences, engineering projects, engineering design, business management, and has a major study in management of construction projects. The importance of managing projects in a sustainable way is incorporated throughout the program. Throughout your studies, you will be presented with practical, real world applications of the course material. Guest lecturers from industry will ensure you have a high level of exposure to current engineering professional practice. You will also be encouraged to find suitable vacation work experience to support your studies further. Small class sizes enable you to have excellent access to lecturers and other teaching staff.
