Bachelor of Engineering
About the Course
This course includes specialisations in civil engineering, electrical and electronics engineering and mechanical engineering. Emphasis is placed on learning through project work with students being exposed to professional engineering practice through guest lectures by practicing engineers, site visits and work experience.
CDU engineering courses were developed in consultation with industry representatives. Students graduate with a solid foundation of engineering studies as well as the advantage of an education that is directly aligned with industry requirements. CDU engineering graduates are well received into local, interstate or overseas careers. Together with ongoing economic development this creates a strong demand for our engineering graduates.
Assumed Knowledge
Stage 2 Mathematical Studies
Course Structure
The course consists of 32 coursework units and two work experience units.
The first year of study introduces basic engineering skills common to all specialisations. In subsequent years students follow a study path specifically developed for their area of specialisation.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 320 credit points.
Additional Requirements
Of the total 320 credit points:
not more than 40 credit points shall be included with a grade of "PC".
