Bachelor of Education (Middle School)

General information

You will major in either English, mathematics or information technology with a minor teaching area in either English, mathematics information technology or geography and have a sound understanding of primary curriculum.

You will be a specialist in issues related to adolescence, transition, community and teaching practice. The course will give you the opportunity to develop your understanding of relationships, community building and rural issues, and you will undertake extensive professional experience placements in primary and secondary settings.

This innovative course will give you the skills to be able to work with adolescent students in a changing society.

Where it will take you

Graduates will be eligible for employment in primary or secondary schools, including K/P-12 and central schools.

Your course is recognised by industry

The Bachelor of Education (K-12 Middle Schooling) is currently accredited with:

  • Teacher Education Qualifications Advisory Panel (TQAP) of the Department of Education
    and Training, New South Wales
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 256 points.
