Overview

Description:
 The creative industries require graduates with a balance of creative arts knowledge and practical communication and business skills. This innovative course brings together the study of creative arts with communication and applied business studies, and is delivered by JCU and for some majors, by TAFE.

Making the most of facilities at JCU and TAFE, the course includes arts theory, creative arts study, business studies and multidisciplinary arts study.

Practical placements with local organizations will be available, giving students real-world experience and valuable networking opportunities. Applicants with existing TAFE diplomas may be awarded credit points towards their degree.

This is a flexible course combining theoretical and practical arts subjects from JCU and TAFE with JCU business studies and multidisciplinary studies. Applicants will need to discuss their study program with a JCU Academic adviser to ensure they select appropriate subjects for their career plan.

Note: For administrative reasons, the first Teaching Period must be completed at JCU.
