Bachelor of Computer ScienceThis course focuses on the practical and theoretical dimensions of computer science and students select at least one of four major streams of study: Computer Science; Games Programming; Mobile Computing; Software Engineering. Students may also select a second major chosen from the above plus: Information Technology; Computer Security; Internetworking Technologies (CISCO); Network Administration and Design (MCSE) or a major selected from outside the School, a minor study or an elective program. Course Structure The degree has three main components: a foundation programme of eight units, a major programme consisting of eight units in a specialised area (listed below), a supplementary programme consisting of eight units drawn from: a second major from the School of Computer and Information Science (this is the recommended option), or from outside the School or a minor area of study plus electives or an elective program of eight units.
