About the course

The course aims to cater for a broad-based tertiary education in the application and theory of computer science including: programming, visualisation, graphics, artificial intelligence, high performance and computer architecture

This program also provides students with an excellent foundation for research-based studies at Honours, Masters or Doctoral level.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, graduates will possess:

  • a broad knowledge of the field of computer science
  • proficiencies in the use of computers and computational techniques and the ability to use these to solve real world problems
  • the ability to continue their studies in postgraduate research in computer science

Professional recognition

Accreditation is being sought from the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
